im reletively new to woodworking on the Oregon coast, i have been interested in it for only a few years, but in that time i have made a well sized amount of items, ranging from boxes, cutting boards, tables, etc.

here is a box i made from maple fire wood that i had to re saw.

here is a vgf bathroom cabinet

a end grain cutting board i made out of myrtle, rock maple and walnut

another item made of maple firewood
(not including the blond mahogany bread board ends)
this is the most used cutting board in the kitchen
as you can see bye the cuts, beeswax fill in, and stains.

another cabinet i made for my gm, it is oak with paduk
(i think, it might be some other African/Brazilian hardwood)

Very nice work. I love your use of splines. I think your wood selections and finishes are right on.

Well done.

I like the wood hinges. You gotta love those firewood saves.

thnx, i realy like the splines aswel, and those hinges were a pain in the a$$ to make, and install. (three of them split,so all together i ended up making 6, 1 for prototype)

Welcome to LJ Chris. You’ve got a good selection of projects and an obvious eye for design. I love saving firewood too. Even though we’re only giving the wood a detour from its inevitable destination of dust to dust, I like thinking it could be a couple of hundred years of a detour.

Just out of none-of-my-business curiosity, have you noticed all your pictures seem to be a little offset to one side?

Good job,

-- Jim
