Years ago I had a job where the dress code required a necktie, and I ended up with a large collection of them. I built this tie rack to fit in the back of the closet. The job and the dress code have long since changed and now all the ties are in storage (YAY!). Now it’s in a new spot and it has a new life as a utility rack in the mud room. It’s a 4’ X 1 1/2” X 1/2” piece of pine that I got at a local box store, along with 1/4” dowel stock that I chopped up into 2” pieces. It’s sealed with Minwax Natural wood finish.

Nice work and usage of the former tie rack. I like it!
