a father's day gun box

my dad rarely asks for anything. so, when he told me that he wanted a .22 revolver, i said sure thing. I bought the gun for him but just could not bring myself to giving it to him in the cardboard box that it came with.

I built this box out of 3/4’ red oak, lined the inside bottom with pigskin then finished it with danish oil. I think he liked the box more than the gun.

The engraveing on the Handle helps out also. Very Nice work.
