Spalted Bowl w/HF pic

Here is another finished Spalted Maple Bowl. This one is about 6.5 inches at the top. Finish is 2 coats of Shellac then a couple coats of Wipe on Poly.

The last picture is a Hollow Form I’m attempting. I was working on it last night when I decided to bring it up and show my wife the progress. So, since the camera was out I thought I’d take a quick shot of this one just in case it decides to ‘blow.’ It is about 7.5 inches and about 3 inches high.

I love this bowl. It is really amazing how “damage” in the wood results in beauty with the spalting.

Very well done!

Nice bowls Keruk. That right hand one is a bit of a challenge.

The bowl looks great. For teh hallow form, just keep saying: “it’s not gonna blow, it’s not ganna blow…”

Nice looking bowls Kerux. What tool are you using for the hollow form? Thanks for sharing.

Nils,

I’ve got quite a bit of the stuff. I’m thinking about selling the half round blanks for $37.50 each. They would be shipped in a 12×12x5hign USPS box. Shipping included. But I can’t decide if I want to go through that or not?
