Made this as a gift for a fellow wood-worker friend who has helped me a lot. It started out as one piece but broke so I strengthened the whole thing with CA glue and then started fabbing it. The head is secured to the handle with a 2” long 1/2” dowel…inch in each piece. Lot of shaping and sanding to this but it turned out pretty nice. It is a regular sized hammer and fits the hand well. One of the pics is of the “plans” and a mock-up! It could do some slight tapping but it definitely wont pull any nails! LOL I made it mainly so he can hang it on his wall. He was griping that I had never made him anything! Finished with Danish oil and wax. Thanks for the looks and comments.

Very cool. Any woodworker would love it.

That is really something. I think I would of kept it for myself. Great coloring.

It appears to be a solid claw hammer! Must be a fun build. Love the wood!
