I’d bought a component cabinet some years back on clearance, so when I got my first LCD TV I wanted something to match it. The construction of the original cabinet was very simple. I upgraded from red oak veneer over particle board in the original to oak plywood. I didn’t get the color matched perfectly, but it turned out great function-wise. I get lots of compliments. That’s the main thing, right? And please note my choice of TV programming :-)

You know I did this just long enough ago that I don’t recall the finish protocol. I’ve moved recently and don’t have a shop put back together or I might be able to tell you. Sorry!

Very nicely done.
