A neighbor seen the projects I’ve made around the house and asked me if I did any contract work. I told him I hadn’t really thought about it. He had a small cut out with doors in his kitchen wall over the stairway going to his basement that had one shelf in it. The shelf and bottom of the cut out went in about 42” deep and he couldn’t reach back the far. He asked me to make him a couple pull out shelves. I came up with this dual pull out cabinet to use the most of the wasted space. The shelves in the pull out are adjustable. This is the first paying project I’ve done.

Looks great! a couple of thoughts though: What are the load ratings on the slides?? looks like you could put a easily put a couple hundred pounds of canned goods on those shelves. . . . also is there any support at the top for stability???

I’m also interested in what you used, and how you did things. I see you used what looks like heavy duty pullouts, but did you put any on the top for stability?
Looks nice! Congrats on your first paying woodworking job, it’s something you’ll never forget.

The slides were
Accuride series 3832 Slides, Zinc, 28’’ length
I made an adjustable bracket on the rear top to hold rollers to ride on the top of the cabinet

That looks like a very innovative use of space. Your neighbor must be delighted. Keep up the good work!
