Hi everyone! I’ve looked at thousands of pics on here and must say some awesome stuff! I’m just a hobbiest for now trying to hone in on some skills. This is a 67” teak speargun with an enclosed track I made for a friend. I love spearfishing and woodwork so I got the best of both worlds. Thanks for looking!!

Nice build mate. What method did you use to balance the speargun?

Wow, just spent some time in the Florida Keys learning a little about spear fishing and everyone was using these aluminum rigs… never saw one made of wood.. Has he used it yet? How does it work, I assume the surgical tubing is inside the wood barrel…. How much pressure does it take to push the spear down into the chamber?

Interesting stuff. Like xraydav said above; would love more info on how it works!

Thanks you all! It’s balanced with lead bored in the bottom the covered with plugs. The track is wood with west systems epoxy. The trigger mech is from Neptonics. He wanted to power it his self with 5/8 bands. The track is enclosed meaning only the spear shaft find stick out for accuracy. He has used it off the coast of NC. He’s sent me pics of some nice grouper and hog fish.
