I built this for my little girl. The case and doors are made from oak. When I started, I assumed I would be able to find small concealed hinges. That was dumb. Instead I had to use small brass butt hinges. I installed them backwards so that they wouldn’t look so intrusive on the case. If I had it to do over, I would have just used wooden pegs for door swivels, rather than buying hinges. Thanks to Mrs. Debbie Brooks in Fuquay Varina, NC for the painting. She did a fantastic job.

Rooster what a great job, and tell Debbie the painting is fantastic. I like this style with the individual doors, more like traditional advent calendars. I wonder if barrel hinges would work…hummmm. Love it, great job.
