My old knob was worn and cracked from overuse. I was embarrassed to show it to anyone.
I decided to make this new one from cherry, maple and walnut. I spent all weekend in the shop polishing my knob. It’s very smooth and has a glassy finish. My wife was really excited and couldn’t stop touching it. She said it was the nicest knob she’s ever seen! All of my friends are jealous of my new knob. It’s much nicer than any of theirs.

Uhhhhmmmm, No.
I’m NOT gonna comment on how well polished your knob is! :-)
