On my list of things to do for our place in Arizona is to make a workshop sign. I was planning on it saying High Chaparral Workshop, but then we lost Danny ( LJ Dingle) a few weeks ago and Danny was the one who obtained the original permission to occupy that building we made into our shop. He worked hard on the cleaning out of the space and all of the construction and then made the deals and bought most the machinery in there.

It seems only fitting that we name the shop for him. I think he will smile down on us when he sees it hanging in the shop!!

The second sign is going to Mary Lou for Danny’s shop in the barn at the their home in Indiana.

It was a hard to cut these, thinking of Danny. I slipped off the line a few times but I don’t think he’ll mind!

The boards are some mahogany covered poplar table leaves that I got from LJ Doug Scott …Thanks, Doug

They have holes in the top for hooks and keyhole slots in the back in case we mount them on a wall.

They are finished with gloss lacquer.

I would be proud and thankful if these were made for me. I’m sure he will too. Just a suggestion Jim, how about adding the year if possible ( Est. 2008 ) or whatever it was.
