We built this Treehouse for my nephew last summer. I played Forman (knees and back, don’t get me started), so we did all the framing and siding in my shop, and then transported the panels to their house and placed them up on a floor we built the weekend before. He’s 6, so we only went 5 ft off the ground. The modular design of it allowed me to get help from both families to do all the heavy work, so while I am posting this, I am still just playing Forman.

Luck little boy. Very nice and a little whimsical. Perfect for a 5 year old.

Outstanding work Bill,
what a lucky kid.
But sorry Bill, that aint no tree-house.
That’s a child-centric arboreal condominium.
Cheers, Jinky (James).

How nice that will be for your Nephew. He has to be excited. The peep hole or whatever it’s called, in the entry door is nice!

Wow, Bill, that’s a great looking Tree house. You really do have a good sense of design.

Thanks everyone for your comments, this was a great fun summer project.

I rarely get to work with other people on projects, and this is a great way to get nocked off any sort of high horse I might have thought I was on. Typically I make all the decisions about a project. This time I had great suggestions and different idea’s from everyone, ALL OF THE TIME…...CONSTANTLY…...WITHOUT PAUSE…...

Doing things your way is great, but try to build something with 3 other adults and a six year old and you really get a good reality check of how clever you really are.

This is the loft, pretty tight, but nice and cozy for kid sleep overs.
