Project Information

This was a bookcase modeled after some pictures of another case found by my wife. (See the picture with the price tag.) Using leftover scrap from my bed farm build (pic 2, 3/4" maple ply) I created this for free!

I cut down a large leftover sheet of plywood and began there. The sides where made from a rectangle two foot long and ten inches tall. The two openings where cut with a circular saw and cleaned up with a router. The sides where cut from four inch strips and I routed a cross lap joint, which I glued and nailed together. The sides and bottom shelf are attached to the X frame using Kregg pocket holes. The final assembly was sanded a painted using leftover paint from our house.

This is my first post and I'm doing it all from my iPhone, so please be considerate.
