I had the pleasure of designing and creating twelve plaques for the local baseball tournament they held this weekend. It was a short notice request (7 days total to design and create them) but I just had to help out the local youth.

The plaques are made from Poplar, the largest being 8 ½ by 11, then 8 by 10 ½ and 7 ½ by 10. I created them on my CNC machine, did a lot of finish sanding, staining, and painted the carved baseballs, then they got four coats of gloss Polyurethane.

My shop has been getting quite busy lately and I have what you could call a good problem, I have a major craft show to do in two weeks and I am having trouble getting my inventory built up because I have too many customers coming by the shop ordering custom projects.

I was at the tournament, and our team from Wyoming brought one home. They are even nicer in person! Good work!

Have your say...
