I recently acquired some long leaf pine. The tree was around 250 years old. It came down this winter during an ice storm. I made this coffee table from some. It is based on an antique a friend on mine has in his scotch tasting room. I really liked the lines and simplicity. I also included a picture of the sawyer who rescued the tree.

Nice save. I really like the design. What finish did you use?

I started with varathane soft wood conditioner then 2 coats of cabot oil in cedar that gives it that slight reddish hue then topped with a finishing wax.
