Knothole Mirror

This doesn’t have much scroll sawing in it, okay it has none.

I found this knothole and really liked it. I also had this antler drop and just incorporated them together. The knothole was had some soft spots in it so I soaked it in wood hardener and it worked great. Even though this does not have any scrolling in it, I had fun doing it.

The mirror measures approximately 9” wide x 13” tall and its kind of hard to tell how thick about an inch. I finished it with spray lacquer. I also have no idea what kind of wood this is made of.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice I could see this hanging in a cabin in the woods. The two mediums blend very nicely!!!

Really cool piece! Just one question: what is a wood hardener?

Beautiful. Keep thinking outside of the guide lines that a lot of people have.
