Latest Wine Holder Project

I’ve had this piece in the shop for about three years. I thought it was going to be a lamp but it finally made the clear statement that it wanted to hold wine and glasses. It’s a pine root with some very interesting holes eaten in it. Bugs of some sort I imagine. Anyway, here it is in all its’ glory. Glass holder is white ash and the finish is polyurethane. Not much sanding on this one except for shaping the glass holder but since these roots are mostly resin the drilling was slower than normal.

Going to share the wine?

Very neat! I really like the add-ons!

Very cool idea.

Yeah I agree that piece of root made a great wine bottle and wine glass holder.
