This is a box that I started a couple of years ago and finally got around to finishing. The box is Tiger Maple and measures 8”x5”x4” high, The Hinges are Cocobolo and pegged with Maple. I used some Cocobolo for the lid handle and the Dovetail Splines. I used Suede Tex for the bottom and Redwood for the interior divider. I dug out my Kehoe Dovetail jig for the Inserts, but was unable to mount it to the back side of the box because the big wooden hinges got in the way. Not 100% happy with the outcome, but it is a decent box that I will give to someone :-)).

Some lucky individual should be very happy with that gift.

You’ve got some really cool features going on there, Bill, especially those splines.

It’s a beautiful box Bill. You can give it to me , then I can copy your hinges.

a nice start in the box directions, a few hints, your hinges will do your project much more if you get them smaller and on your lift, if you can get your fingers under it , that would feel better…just giving a few hints, look at others boxes and get some idea changes from them

If you have the box building bug and the wooden hinge bug, all is lost! I haven’t found a cure yet.

Nice job and I really like the dovetail splines.
