My grandson enjoyed the Backhoe loader I made for him so much that I had to try another. This is based off plans in Wood magazine. I made it completely from walnut scraps and Pallet wood I think was lightly spalted maple. I cut out the boom from the pallet wood but the short grain at the pivot points got me a little worried about durability so went back and cut new ones from Baltic Birch. His birthday is next week. We’ll see how he likes it then.

Out of sight. You are a granddad a grandson can be proud of.

”We’ll see how he likes it then.”

You even MAKE a comment like this? Are you kidding me? Grandson or not … ANY KID would absolutely LOVE to play with this (and all the other toys you make too)

Excellent job … AGAIN!

Top job granddad but you may now have to make the rest of the construction series so you both can sit & play.
Something I enjoy doing with my grandsons…..keep them coming….love them…
