This is the mallet that I sent to ShaneA for the 2014 mallet swap

Off center turned and made of maple, cherry, and walnut with an oval ash handle.

The pictures don’t do this fine mallet justice. The offest aspect is really cool, and very well done.

Super cool how the laminations appear wavy. That grain just pops

Wow! The shape of that thing really adds to any real/illusory angles to all the grain/layers. Fine job on that mallet!

So you chucked this thing up on 3 different center points, and now it has a perfect angle on it for which to smash!? Man, that’s talent! Bravo! I’m blown away. (ive done more turning than anything) Love that tangential grain on the Maple. Some of my favorite wood grain.

It does look bent. The wood combination alone is very nice but add in the three centers, very nice.
