I saw this on TV one day and decided I had to give it a shot. Did some research and found that these ``guitars`` are depression era creations and were made as simply and cheaply as possible. So the only thing I bought for this project were the string tuners and strings. The rest had to be scavenged from around the shop. Both the bridge and nut are threaded bolts with the head cut off. They are set into a v-grooves to hold them from moving. The neck is a through design to hold the tension and is knotched into the top of the box. It is very sturdy and sounds really cool. The frets are drawn on as this is meant for a slide. I might drill a hole in the top for more acoustics. All in it was about two hours on a Sunday and thirty bucks, and a great conversation piece!
