This is my dinning room table i made during spring break from college. I am not really sure why the last two images are displayed sideways but whatever. The wood is walnut and poplar. The table is mortise and tenon on the apron boards and the top is tongue and groove. I used a tongue oil finish on the wood (waterlox original finish). I recommend using waterlox over poly it gives the wood a much smoother, harder, and longer lasting finish. I put about 6 coats of finish on the top of this table and bench sanding between every 2 coats. The bench is made out of walnut and poplar as well. For the bench i did pocket screws and glue and the top is tongue and groove on the end pieces.
