I know some of you critiques out there will laugh at this but my son really really wanted me to make him a lightning McQueen cutting board. Tried mixing food coloring with mineral oil but that didn’t work so I just dumped straight food coloring on the board and rubbed it in. Actually worked quite well.

Nice job brother.
My grandson is a Lightening McQueen nut.
I think I may have to try one of those.
That food coloring trick was really smart.

Always good. Just keep your son working with you in the shop.

Good on you for making your son the cutting board. Make sure you sign it so when he shows it to your grandchildren, Grandpa’s mark will be on it. Carry on.

It’s hard to say no to the kids when they have a woodworking request. Nice job and I’m sure he was thrilled. Are your hands just as red as the board?

A great project for your son and you to share, Chris! He’ll want to take that to Show and Tell at school! By all means sign it for posterity. Thanks for sharing.
