Here’s another craft taken from the pages of a catalog. I made mine of clear pine. Pine because it will be painted, white, and clear so that no knots bleed thru. This was a lot of fun to make especially since the drawers in the houses do work… I did not get install the knobs when I took this pic. I do not have a lathe so I did not turn the legs; they are manufactured. I did put a breadboard end on the table top.
This is part of a bedset where the head and foot boards are picket fences and I have a plan for a blanket chest where the back will have the tops of the picket fence appearing. Pics to come when I have finished those.
The first pix is my work, the second is from the catalog which served as my blueprint.
Peace,

this is very cool. The fact that the birdhouse drawers open takes this piece to the + + + level!
The second picture really gives it an ethereal (is that the word/spelling?) look and the table is decorated perfectly, in keeping with the mood and the essence of the piece.
Very very pretty.

Let me be clear as the pine… the second pic is the catalog photo, not my handiwork.

oh hehehe oops. Sorry about that.
yours looks just like the original, just without the fluff sitting on it.
and so yours, painted plus the matching bedroom set… you will also have this same mood in the room.
Will you be showing us the finished room?

I think yours looks better than the catalog version.

What a precious table. O.K., you’ve got to get a lathe so you can enjoy turning your own parts (legs and knobs). Well, you don’t have to, but I think you’d have fun doing it like I do.

I love the nature that God has given us in this world (most of it anyway)... We do put out 15-20 varying styles of bird feeders to attract as many different species as we can. Each year we have been blessed to have multiple nesting Purple Martin families. We have lots of cardinals, bluejays and other rather uncommon birds swing by during migration seasons. I have built bird houses, most in MA that I left there when I was transferred to TX… In fact this may inspire a new one to come forth.

This a really nice piece, LJ. I’m glad it came back around in Pulse.
