This is a retirement “tool chest” fir an air force officer I just completed. There are 3 drawers lined with velvet. One drawer has angled pieces fir coin displays. The corners of the box are mitered with dovetail keys. This is my first project this ambitious.

Looking at this with it zoomed. There looks to be a lot of different phaises of woodworking skill going into a project like one of these.

I am curious though, since I never knew that these existed, where does a guy retiring, place on of these. I get a comparison from its size to the bicycle’s front wheel and it appears as you say,,,,a chest. Not as a smaller box as I first though.

Very cool! With some short legs that could almost be a table! I’ve done a number of boxes for walls, mantles and tables but haven’t gotten an order for a chest yet.
The dovetail pins really set it off!

Thanks all. I have orders for two more. I’ll post those soon. Would love to get some critiques, suggestions for improvement.
