My son’s 13th birthday. He wanted a hammock. I picked out a “Mayan” hammock and planned to build the stand. The hammock arrived and I realized the standard plans from the internet would not accommodate the 13’ span required. Modified the plans and this resulted, it is barely long enough. 6’ 4X4 diagonals at 60 degrees, the base is 8’ 2X6s, and the legs are 5’ 2X4s. All attached with carriage bolts. It will sit on the back porch. He is a happy guy.

Treated pine (carefully selected for straight grain), with the required galvanized carriage bolts.
