Here’s my first attempt at pen turning. Only had the lathe for a few weeks so I figured I’d try something I could use instead of just making designer firewood. The stick with the Celtic Knot was fun and a bit of a challenge as the end to sometimes blow out sections that may not be securely glued to the brass tube inside. Going to be gifts for my brothers and sisters.
The Celtic Knot is make of pewter. Easy to shave on the Lathe . ( shave is that the right term???)

Warning… you have taken the first step toward pen turning addiction. Actually it’s the only step. If you’re at all like me, you are now addicted. I also just had my lathe for a short while and just recently started turning pens. Fun stuff! The pens look great and so does the Celtic knot. Welcome to the world of turning! :)

Very nice group of pens!
If I thought I was addicted I would go to AA for turners. But I know I don’t have a problem. I am telling you all I don’t have a problem I can stop any time I want too. I am sure that’s what Ted would say too!

Keep posting you turned projects!!!
