This sculpture was a commission piece that I created and carved for Thurman’s graduation.
It is made from basswood with the handle wrapped in Italian black leather.
Sealer and lacquer finish.
I’m particularly taken with this piece as it has the feel of strength and power. I discovered that there is actually a Thor font that I used for the lettering.
What a pleasure it was to make this for Thurman’s special day.
As always, thanks for looking and commenting.

Great sculpture for a graduation, and much prettier than the shop mallet I made and named Thor.

Very nice. Did you make a second for the Mallet swap?

Nice work. And appropriate for a grad who’s about to take on the world.
