Couple of Boards

Two small projects.

Oak round 9” x 7/8” thick and a small copper bowtie insert.

The other is a maple/cherry “1/2 checker board” turned serving board. It measures 16” x 8” and is banded by 1/2” cherry bevel. Both finished with Howards wax.

Very original looking. I like the round one. I need to do the same thing with some 16’’ walnut and I’m afraid of all the cracks that may appear.

Looking good nice work .
Can’t belive the clourful woods you have our stuff here is a lot lighter in colour and bland .
