Tea Box for my Honey

I finished this a few days ago for my wife. She loves tea so I made her a tea box. The front and sides are Marblewood, the top is Spalted Red Oak and the cross is Granadillo. The Granadillo came out a dark blood red and to me typifies the Old Rugged Cross. I cove routed the edges of the cross which makes the flat pop when waxed. The dividers are Poplar and yes the left side is a larger compartment for a special tea she has. The bottom is covered with green felt.

This was probably the most satisfying project I’ve done so far. It’s finished with Danish Oil and many coats of wax.
