Beautiful table, I like the cherry & paint contrast. That’s an interesting top, how did you secure the end grain butt joints?, dowels?

Thanks, Oldtool. I was going to use dowels, but did rabbets because I thought it would be stronger in the end with more glue.

This is blurry, but it’s all the top pieces.

Once it was all glued and together, I put a final rabbet around the whole thing to frame it in and hide the rabbets on the ends.

Done and ready to clean and stain. A few of the pieces chipped when I ran them through the router, but I was so tired of it by then that I left it and claimed it as a “rustic” look :)
