From my limited stash of Rocky Mountain Juniper, T-W is the final result of my whimsical wood carving. A winter project finally completed!
The blank for this boot was cut length-wise from an 8 inch diameter log, see picture 4. If you mentally divide the circular log into quarters, the boot came from the upper right quarter, hence the outer irregular bark and branch growths are retained. The unfinished piece of wood next to the boot is yet to be ordained!
Naturally finished the centre reddish colour of the log contrasts well with the outer lighter coloured wood. The growth rings provide so much character that any shoe details would not be beneficial to the piece.
Hopefully you will figure out the TEE-DUBYAH!
Regards to all, Roman, the-boot-man!

Wow Roman, the retention of the bark has made this into a classic piece of carving, fabulous mate

Very cool. I like it a lot. I’ve got some old growth Wester Juniper handy if you need to add to your limited stash!

T is the bark and the W is the contour the bark makes? Beautiful job as usual.

Great looking boot Roman. Definitely does not need any ‘details’... as it is very sculptural as it is. Loving the live edge.

-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)
