Ok, this is gonna be a surprise…so don’t say nothin’ to nobody.
Going to the beach with some friends later this summer. So I thought I make up a couple of “beach” gifts. Started with a piece of scrap white cedar 2×4. Re-sawed it down to proper proportions and constructed these ocean beach lifeguard chairs. Legs are 6×6’s and all else is 2×6’s (proportioned). Base is pignut hickory left over from some previous project. There’s baby sea turtles on the ground under the chairs. I out-sourced the rescue boards and they came out too nice to paint red. The life rings are old circular ear rings that were just the right size. And the shells my granddaughter found in the creek across the road. (I know, the plastic is still on the shades.)
These style lamps have been made before by folks, and now I know how hard it is to make them.
Remember, don’t say nothin’.
