This is a Murphy bed that was ordered by a customer to commemorate the old Yankee stadium. It was completed on October 1, 2008. Notice the façade shown at the top when the bed is open. It is built to resemble five lockers. The middle three are non-working and attached to the bed. They come down with the bed when it is open. The other two are working bookcases. In these bookcases the customer chose to have a couple drawer and adjustable shelves.
The customer got the idea from a desk that I had built not long ago. The desk had the same Yankee façade at the top.

Very nice, I love the idea of the lockers being bookshelves!

Nice job, always wanted to do this in my small bedrooms. Great idea for the kids?

being a Red Sox fan, I’m not really sure I like the theme…
but the bed is really cool!
I like the idea.

Very cool bed. Where did you get the hardware for it?

That’s a great idea! How to get your son who wants to stay up rather than go to bed to be interested in crawling in! I love it!
