Inspired?,yes. Reproduction?, no. This chair was entirely hand shaped, even the seat. Spokeshave, Scorp, card scrapers, patience and music. I rounded ends of stretchers to expose dowels and added some hard maple accents.

Very nice work,love the walnut, I use music also when patience is missing, but I’m not in design yet so I will start the same project the regular way,,,,by following master’s footsteps.

Verrrry nice. A great feature of the Maloof designs is that to make one really forces you into true handwork because our typical shop machines just can’t go there. Excellent execution!
