Pantry Drawers

The standard shelves in my pantry limited the usable storage area. Things towards the middle and back of shelves were hard to get to, causing them to eventually be forgotten and go to waste.
My solution was sliding shelves strategically placed at heights that would allow for everything from tall cereal boxes to short soup cans. It has worked out great and it’s amazing how much fits and is still accessible.

Built in Spring of 2010.

Full extension, soft close, undermount slides.
Solid maple sides with dovetailed joints. Birch plywood bottoms. Basically drawer box construction without false fronts.
Finished with lacquer.

That’s awesome! That makes sense to me and I’m so totally stealing your idea. Including the dovetails. Nice job.

Nice work! I am in the middle of planning the same style of pullouts for a kitchen cabinet right now.

Which drawer slides did you use? Do you have a source you can link?

Nice job.

Thanks for the compliments. These have been worth every minute I spent on them. You wouldn’t believe how much you can fit in a pantry and still have access to all of it.

The slides are grass elite plus concealed slides. I don’t recall the source, just a random google search. They have performed very well too, not one single problem. Knock on wood.
