All my orders are done, it’s a rainy day and I need a wood working fix. I told my wife I was going to the shop, didn’t know what I would do and she said “I want a new bird feeder”! Two hours later this is what I came up with. She even said “I don’t want any of that fancy stuff you do, just a simple feeder”. All made from scrap and left overs, even the plexiglass and hinges! No rabbets, fancy joinery, stain, or hidden screws. When revealed she really liked it. Actually, I did also.

-- We all make mistakes, the trick is to fix it in a way that says "I meant to do that".

What momma wants, momma gets! Great looking bird feeder—I’m sure your feathered friends will enjoy it!

The only thing I can make in two hours is a mess! Good job, Jeff!

Jeff, I really like the feeder especially the partially hinged roof. Nice simple design!

Looks great, any excuse to be in the shop is a good one. I like the hinges, easy fill.
