I had had a bench top DP that was my main DP, and was at my taller height, which set on a table I had built some time ago with drawers. I decided to buy a floor model DP, and made a riser to match the working height of the bench top. THEN,,,, I came across Shopnotes mag. idea of this double duty cart, pulled out used as a roll around horizontal surface work shop cart, and also as a tucked away for the floor DP storage/work surface cart.

At another woodworking site, one of the monitors there and I have had many phone conversations, and during one of these he suggested for me to turn the side storage that was in the original plans, to the rear and that would leave room to install a larger section of tempered peg boards on the sides., as well as to be carefull in mounting those handels to keep from sticking out in the front to far. Thus the recessed finger pull drawer fronts keeping the handles close to and even with the front of the two side vertical 2x’s supports. I liked his idea, and built it so, but I also raised the height over all, to match my main work table. It helps to place some of the woodworking tools that would acculiminate on that bench, to be shifted over to this one. The T. hardboard top, can be removed by just pulling the front piece trim at the top, and it will slide out if the wear becomes to much and needs to be replaced. It has been a VERY handy addition.

Very nice. I like the idea of the double duty table. I was just thinking today that if the benchtop drill press is rolling around on its own table, I might as well have gotten a full height drill press instead of the benchtop model. Oh well, something to upgrade to in ten years.
