Chip Carved 8" Beaded Flat Plate

I selected the AR Julian font for this carving. It felt strong and bold and seemed to fall in line with the Mason Medical Clinic and balanced out the logo nicely. I created a video on how to carve this font and I will be posting it soon in the Member Video Vault at My Chip Carving. If you are interested in carving letters and numbers, this video will appeal to you.

I applied my Quick & Easy Finish (sealer and satin lacquer) and will send it to the recipient today.

I love carving items like this! Thanks for looking. Your comments and ideas as always encouraged.

Marty,

You keep spitting these out as if they were easy or something! Are you sure you're not using a $500,000 CNC? The letters are just perfection!

Marty, that is really nice work! When I first saw it I thought it was CNC work. You are a talented chip carver for sure.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
Some have tried to create chip carved items using a CNC machine. But when you look at the results you can immediately tell it wasn't hand made. That's one reason I love chip carving. It's not machine reproducible!
When folks ask me if my carving was done by a machine, I take it as a compliment, and my wife always points to
me…"the machine", she says.
In the near future I hope to have a blog so I can focus on sharing the process rather than just the product. If this interests you, be sure you're on my email list so you'll be notified when the blog is running.
Your feedback is appreciated!
