I’ve been working on this guy for a little while, in between a million other things, but I’m finally done! I used 3 coats of tung oil for the finish, it shouldn’t get much abuse and I think the oil really makes it look good. I took it for a test run tonight, 20gr of some Caveman White Gold Coffee beans, ground that up with no problems and plenty of room to spare in the drawer.

The last pic is a ‘jumbo jaw’ set I made myself so that I could turn the inside of the bowl, those are pretty pricey for 4 pieces of aluminum with a few hole drilled!!

Very cool, Ive seen a few of these but never one using a turned bowl. I like it a lot, and I have a feeling my GF will love it. Where did you get the hardware?

Nice work!

Thanks guys, Box Whisperer, I got the grinder from www.penblanks.ca, William Woodwright website, its a PennState Industries piece, so you could order from them, just easier to get since WW already paid the duties, etc to ship across the border.

Have your say...
