Here is a few long grain chopping boards I have made and basically this is how my woodworking adventure has started this year… I was amazed by the 3d effect chopping board that I’ve seen online and decided that I want to do it one day. Started off easy with a long grain ones – I know nothing special but learning curve for a begginer like me… First three were gifts and I am not sure if this is always like that when it comes to hand made chopping boards but everytime I gave it to someone I heard something along the lines of “it is too nice to cut on it so I will use it as a decoration” As you can see on my sledge I am using reclaimed wood whenever possible so few of the bits in those boards are actually from reclaimed flooring (European oak, Beech, Mahogany? still not sure about the last one if it is Mahogany or not). Anyway hope you like it.

l Like them very much. I’m not a cutting board purist, end grain is cool, but every long grain I have every made is still serving its purpose. Keep them coming. Your boards look great. Never can make enough as they make precious gifts.
