We bought some new plates and they did not fit our old purchased plate rack. Made this out of cherry and maple. Based off a picture I saw on Pinterest. I decided to reduce glue up stress by making the dowel holes go all the way though the back frame and I installed the dowels after I glued up the frames. The frames themselves are constructed of hard maple and bridle joints and I overlayed some curly maple on the hard maple.

I will add some hooks on the bottom for coffee cups, just have not found the right hook yet.
This was the first project I have used a prototype for, which I made from scraps to make sure the spacing was correct. The whole thing is mounted on the wall with a French cleat (what do they call them in France?). As always it took about 345% longer to make than I anticipated. If I had to make a living at this I would go broke in a minute.
