Just finished this dog house a few days ago. Built the house first and realized rain was getting in the house so built a little covered patio so the rain and wind stays out. Still need to seal the patio but everything else is done. The house itself is insulated with 1” foam insulation all the way around inc. ceiling and floor. I tried to put clear vinyl on the doorway but the dog made that stuff disappear in no time.

I wish my dumb dog would go into a doghouse, but she has never been able to catch on to the idea.

Brad, where is the sun roof, and what about running water , He won’t want to track mud in his new house. Charlie, your dog would use a dog house as soon as you realize the it belongs next to your easy chair.
