Hope Chest

This is a hope chest I made from some WOOD magazine plans. I was commissioned by my brother in-law to make it for his wife’s birthday.
I rarely like the look of oak furniture. But, with this color and finish, this is one piece I wish I didn’t have to give up.

That is a really nice looking chest. Looks like it is very solid. I am sure your brother in laws wife will love it and it will be in the family for many years. Great job !

Super looking. I like it right from the edge on the top to the slight curve to the skirt board. smooth design.

-- The smell of wood, coffee in the cup, the wife let's me do my thing, the lake is peaceful.

Really attractive piece
This piece works well in oak – I think the bold simple design complements the grain
