Two of my fellow teachers are retiring. One is an artist. Last year, I turned a pen for another retiring teacher. This year, I am attempting to up my game, so I talked to one of the art teachers and got a couple of old paint brushes. The first brush I ended up drilling out the side and ruining, so everything depended on the second. I drilled the second one properly and used a stick pen kit from Lee Valley, and I had a paint brush pen. I did have to turn the brush a bit so that it tapered properly to the tip of the pen. Then I painted the part that was turned to match the black paint on the brush. Anyway, it turned out pretty well I think.

Now I need to figure out what type of pen to give the other retiring teacher. Maybe the drumstick pen that I made awhile back. I should mention the second teacher is a music teacher, so the drumstick would fit the music theme.
