Oak burl vessel. My first attempt at adding a base to the vessel. I made two and this is the best of the two. I have made very few finials and this is one of the my first

Being Scottish and cheap I made them from hard maple. I have only made a couple or finials and bases so I had to play safe

Beautiful, I love it.
Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
