Kreg Router Table On Steroids

I purchased the Triton 3HP router and the Kreg Router Table Kit. I bought the Triton router because it has the above table adjustments and bit change feature which is simple to use and less expensive than buying the router lift.

After using just the table without the built in cabinet I decided it was time to integrate some dust control. It was by far one of the dustiest machines I have used. I looked online and found the Kreg plans and then I found the youtube video by lumberjocker THOMRIDER. His modifications made more sense than sticking strictly to the Kreg plans. The dimensions for the box in the kreg plan are dead on, but I liked the separate drawers that THOM created, plus they were easy to install compared to the Kreg plan. The peg board on the side works great and the built in storage keeps all the accessories organized. The rockler dust port is awesome, the machine went from covering the entire workspace with dust to only having a few specs on the table. It rivals now rivals a festool product in dust control.

Most of the wood was leftover from my bench build. Building from leftover scraps seems to be a theme for me lately. The side cabinets slide in and out of dados, and the bottom middle cabinet is a drawer. I cut the top drawer to fit the on/off switch. I am not sure what type of hinges I used, but they were cheap and came from Lowes. I had to modify the side drawers to fit those.

I like your storage. I am looking for something like that for my router table. This definitely gets put in the pile to borrow ideas from.

Thanks for the shout out. Looks like you have an awesome setup. I also went with the rockler dust port. I really like it.

Looks good. Got the same set up. Guess I’ll have to work on some cabinets now.
