Little Japanese style table with end grain top

May was the month of the 2×4, and yes we’ve joint the Summers woodworking creative 2×4 competition, like many others did. This Japanese style table was made out of the leftovers from a 2×4 used to make another table. The legs we splitted and then steam bended. The table top was glued together piece by piece.

Nice way of working in the edge grain for the corners – I assume that’s so the don’t get knocked off too easily?
