I just wanted to share one of my latest projects which I recently finished.
My parents got a new TV set two months ago and the old TV stand just did’t fit anymore, so I decided to build them a new one and wanted to make it nice but quick to build and to put my carvewright machine to some use. I am planing on doing a bigger Project with painted mdf and so I thoght it would be good to do a testrun before.
I decided to build the thing out of mdf and paint it afterwards.
It turned out nice I guess, but the part where “quick” was involved – I have to get better at.
Specially the Painting was pretty time consuming.
The the cnc patterns on the front are just out of the library that came with the machine, so nothing spectacular there, but it was also a test on the quality of the patterns. So I could see where problems come up when scaling up or down the original size.

I used 19mm black mdf which is besides it color good for deep carving.
Building the whole piece from mdf should make the project pretty havy, but a tv set doesn’t have to move a lot, so this was not a problem in the end.
I didn’t do a lot of photos, so this is all I can share, hope you’ll like it ;)

Looks good to me – I really like the carved front.
