I am always looking for smalls to add to inventory and so I will have lower priced items for shows ….well for whenever but the idea was for shows. One of the forums I go to has several guys making hair sticks so I thought i would give them a try.
These are all around 6” long and all done with just a 1/2” skew.
Cherry with African blackwood, Osage and ABW, black walnut. The ABW is drilled and then sits on a tenon rather than just surfaced glued.
I added a couple of pics of them on the lathe it took me a few to figure out the easiest way to turn them but now they go pretty quick. Rather than between centers I use my 4 jaw chuck and a live center then work from the live center towards the headstock this reduces chatter for me.
